SUMMARY:Virtual 5K Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:East Suburban Citizen Advocacy is a Nonprofit organization serving the east side of Allegheny County and all of Westmoreland County in Pennsylvania. Our mission is to advocate for those with Developmental Disabilities and to provide Inclusive opportunities in the community. Through this event we are hoping to increase our community awareness so that we may reach out to more people in our area. The proceeds from this fundraiser will help us with our inclusive programming and advocacy efforts. \nWe believe that all people have a superpower! This years theme for our walk is Super Fun Run for Everyone! It is an inclusive event that we are encouraging everyone to have fun with! Dress up like a superhero\, share your pictures with us and share what your superpower is. We hope this can be a fun way to get outdoors between April 3rd and April 10th with some friends\, with COVID-19 precautions\, and show off those superpowers. You can share pictures here in our race page or on Facebook and Instagram using the #SuperFunRunForEveryone. \nHere are the details that will help you with the event:  \nWe are having a Virtual race\, for those of you new to this\, you get to run/walk the 5K where ever you choose with whomever you want. You can walk in your neighborhood\, use a public track\, or a local hiking trail. You can get distance in a little each day or all at once between April 3rd and April 10th. If you want to share your time with your picture that is fine too! This is not a competitive race so have fun with it!! \nT-Shirt & Medal pick- up drive-through: We will hold a pick up event on April 3rd from 10am-1pm at the Miracle League Field at the Murrysville Community Park Complex (4056 Wiestertown Road\, Murrysville Pa 15632). Those who register by 11:59pm on March 13th will be able to pick up their Race shirts and Medals on April 3rd at our drive-through pick up to kick off the race! We have an option to have your Race Shirt and Medal mailed to you at an extra cost of $5.00. *Please keep in mind*: We can not guarantee the timing of the post office\, but we will mail them out as soon as we receive them.
